Most commonly you've been to a dentist and you've had a bad experience. You were in pain throughout the treatment and now you only go when you really have to. You think that you have the worst teeth and are embarrassed about them. Now you only go to the dentist when you are in pain.

You joke that why can't you have them all out a new ones put in.

Personally, we think that the most important thing is that you don't feel any pain when having the treatment. We have a great reputation for making sure that the area is properly numb, and if you feel anything you are in control and we will stop.

Best not to leave things until they get too bad, and treatment becomes more complex and difficult. There again, better late than neve.

Sedation
In the first instance, most people come to us asking for sedation, but leave, not needing sedation, but just a good dentist.

This is what we advise in the first instance. If you need a referral for sedation then we can do it - we don't do sedation ourselves because we find that we very rarely need it !
