We lay there for a moment, Kieran careful to not put too much weight on me. He was still so gentle with me, treating me as a fragile piece of glass. I smiled, finding his ignorance of my strength charming. But my smile quickly faded as I realized that he only thought that because I was not being totally honest with him. I wasn't lying, as I never stated myself that I was a human, he had just assumed... but I also did not correct him...
I had the sudden urge to tell him everything, but knew that the whole story would be painfully overwhelming and he seemed tired, so I reluctantly stayed quiet, just holding my sweet mate to my chest.
Once his breathing calmed, he moved to stand, pulling me up to a sitting position by my waist with one hand, and reaching over his back with his other.
