Becoming Tall: How Gabby Outgrew the World
Gabby has always felt small-in stature, in confidence, and in a world that often overlooks her. At just over a meter tall, she's constantly reminded of her differences, whether it's through teasing peers or the quiet accommodations her family makes without realizing how much it stings. All Gabby wants is to fit in, to feel seen, and maybe-just maybe-to grow tall enough to stand on her own terms. Her life takes an unexpected turn when she receives a mysterious invitation to The Tall Society, a group that promises connection, belonging, and transformation. Alongside it is an ancient artifact she discovered in her grandmother's attic-a carved stone that seems to pulse with quiet, otherworldly power. Though skeptical of the invitation and unsure of the artifact's purpose, Gabby clings to the possibility that this could be the change she's always dreamed of. As strange events unfold and Gabby begins to grow-both physically and emotionally-she learns that becoming tall is about more than height. It's about standing up for herself, embracing her uniqueness, and redefining what it means to belong. But as her transformation accelerates, Gabby must decide whether the cost of change is worth it-and what it means to truly find herself. "Becoming Tall" is a heartfelt coming-of-age story about growth, resilience, and finding strength in the most unexpected places. Perfect for fans of magical realism and emotional journeys, this story reminds us that sometimes the biggest changes come from within.
