500 years ago, the magical country of Chelidonia started a war with the human country of Aderyn. No one knows why they did or what they wanted.

Since then, a draft had been implemented in Aderyn. All men needed to serve in the Royal Army for 10 years when they turned 25 years old. It was a war that men had fought and died in for a very long time.

When Drake Adler turned 25, he too was required to serve his time.
