This story is inspired by many other works and may bear some resemblance in certain places. However, I will endeavor to make this story it's own.
2 years ago monsters were released from the underground, ending their centuries-long imprisonment at the hands of ancient humans.
Not a soul remains in the underground.
But that doesn't mean no one's there.
Be it chance or fate, The First Fallen will soon meet an all too curious human as he ventures into the deep beneath.
The Reader or [Y/n] is male and Chara is female.
I apologize if this bothers you it's just how I've always seen the character.

This is my story for the March 2016 Watt pad contest. None of the characters are mine, all of them can be found in the video game Undertale by Toby Fox. The cover photo is also not mine. King Asgore and queen Torial have fallen and the resistance army has taken over. Led by the the human child Frisk the future of the underground is bleak. In its moment of darkness a single ray of light stands against it. Chara and the remains of the free underground are determined to free their home from Frisk and the lieutenants leading his armies. The spear woman Undyne. The mad scientist Alphys and her amalgamates. Finally the skeleton duo and their army of bones stand against the free Underground. Undertale; Consequences of your actions.
Chara. The demon that comes when people call it's name. The title given to her by everyone that blamed her for the genocides. For what Frisk did just because they wanted to see what would happen. Because they refused to own up to their actions, and instead blamed the only person who could realistically be blamed. Chara. The human, who, despite her flaws, still tried to be a good person. She was forced into this endless cycle of murder and animosity against her will. She never wanted any part in this. Frisk, blaming Chara for their own atrocities, believes her to finally have given up. They think they are above consequences because its a game to them, that they will always win... Soon they will learn that they can't run away from them forever. Soon, the darkest pit of hell will open and swallow them whole. -All characters in this story are NOT mine except for one, she is my character. And she is not, I repeat, NOT a self insert. She is meant to be a dark mirror of Chara in a lot of ways, but similar to her in many more aspects. The others belong to Toby fox, the original owner of Undertale, as well as to Temmie Chang(hope I spelled it right.) This exists because I feel like too many people blamed Chara for our own actions. Because that was easier than to admit that genocide was a path that we chose of our own volition. This was especially true in the earlier years of the fandom, and is still true even today-to an extent. Due to that, and my combined love of the character, I just knew it was worth writing a happy ending for them, or in this story as I interpret Chara to be female. I know that they are in the cannon of Undertale, non-binary or genderless, but this a is fanfiction. I wrote the rules, I'm the "God" here. If you don't like that, then leave.
