Young love. Thats what we call it, but what is it really? It's viewed as "not serious" and "juvenile." However, if you really look into it, it's kids trying to find themselves. Whether that's who they want to be, or where they are in the world. Maybe they want to fill an empty void. I don't know, i'm writing this story based on absolutely nothing. I've never loved or been loved, so I don't know how it feels. This story comes to you from a girl who all she wants is to feel in place and loved, and if writing about it gets her closer, she's okay with that. This story is about "young love" with stupid decisions, bad ideas, and a few lonely kids. I'll put in TWs as needed, and just enjoy the story :)

In this society, everyone has a soulmate. And the way to find yours is just look. Along with a soulmate, everyone has a small tattoo on their cheek with a symbol. Some could be a star, a flower, a yinyang, a fish, or even waves. There are so many people that the symbols are almost limitless. The tattoos don't care about gender or number. There could be gay matches, and there could even be polyamorous matches. The tattoos will tingle when you are near to your sm. And they will glow if you have found only one of your sm's if your match was poly. The trick is, you don't get the tattoo until you are 16. And even if you are near your match, as long as one of you are not of age, your tattoo will not tingle. Also, they are normal tattoos (except you don't get it or choose it, it just appears) so you can get rid of it. But if you do, your sm won't die but they will get very sick.
