Frankie Sandford grew up as an only child and her father died when she was very young. Her mother went soon afterwards. From a very young age, Frankie's stepfather would sexually abuse her, almost every day, and he would tie her up for days at a time and just leave her there, with no food or water. He would beat her, rape her, and starve her until Frankie turned 18. It was just after her birthday that the police came and arrested her stepdad. Frankie is now 19 and attending university, where she meets Mollie King, 20. Mollie's childhood was the polar opposite of Frankie's; Mollie's family is wealthy and her parents love her to bits. She's close with her mother and idolizes her dad. The two are very different. But somehow, they become friends, and that builds into something more. Frankie slowly but surely lets Mollie into her world, full of flashbacks and night terrors and crying, and fear and suffering unimaginable. But Mollie loves her anyway, despite all of her problems. This is their story. [Trigger warning for sexual assault, severe anxiety and panic attacks, graphic flashbacks, etc.]
