Zaphyr, an Ancient Dragon, an Alpha, has lived many centuries. Thousands of years even. Powerful and proud, Zaphyr is awakened by the roar of a femmedragon. What he finds, however, is a beaten and terrified human female, hunted by others. Instinct drives him to protect her, to help her, but can he gain the trust of this wounded woman? Can he make her see that she was his, and he was hers, as it was always meant to be?
