Waning of the Sun Gods

Empress Anra is one of the last people who remembers what her land was like before the war that claimed the lives of family, leaving her as the last member of the royal line. But as the child of the sun god, she knows that immortals like her and her family can never truly die, and soon they will all return to life and be by her side once again.

She just has to make sure that they have a country to come back to.

Complicating that seemingly simple goal is Yendai, a rain spirit from the south who has plans to remove his village from the greater empire and rule over it himself. As fascinated by him as she is frustrated, a poorly thought out decision of great consequence on his part ties them together for the foreseeable future. All she can hope is that he'll be of some help to her in these last fateful days of waning before the sun gods' return...
