JJ Henderson wasn't the most popular girl at school. She's not the prettiest, the loudest, or the nicest. She isn't the most athletic, or best dressed, ⅋ maybe if she applied herself she'd be the smartest, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘴𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘪𝘥𝘯'𝘵. She knew firmly where she stood at Hawkins High, where she belonged, so the meaningless matters of social status wasn't a priority of the Henderson girl.

What held the most vital significance in JJ's life is four boys, who meant the world to her, needed her most. To them, she's the coolest ⅋ most valued person in their lives. Mike, Will, Dustin, & Lucas didn't care how she dressed, if she smoked, what scars lay beneath her sleeves, or the scary thoughts racing through her head. They cared that she played with them, listened to them, ⅋ that she's alive, that they could make her smile ⅋ she wanted to hear about their day. To them, JJ Henderson is the strongest, bravest person they know. She told them to ignore the bullies ⅋ stand up for themselves, they didn't know she doesn't take her own advice.

Those four boys are her entire being, her purpose, her reason for still being here. They didn't care she's never had sex, or think she's a cry for help for attention. She's struggled her whole pathetic life, mentally, socially, educationally, hell in every aspect, she couldn't take much more. So what happens when the disappearance of Will Byers... 𝙗𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙠𝙨 𝙝𝙚𝙧?
