(takes place after the events of Silver Shadows)
After being busted out of re-education where Sydney's secret of being a human magic user was exposed, she now has to learn how to live life at the royal Moroi court.
With Jill being kidnapped Sydney can't handle having to stay at court without doing anything to help but when a mysterious note comes through mysterious means Sydney and Adrian know they have to leave the safety of court, or face losing a friend they both love dearly.
