Shoot for the stars, they said. So we did. We discovered the best source of energy anyone has ever known: solar flares. However, there's a down side. Take too much energy and the sun can collapse. We made powerful enemies when we took the sun's energy, and there are creatures out there who seek to take the sun's energy for themselves. That's why we had to establish the Guardian program, to protect our people and energy. Zennebelle, kick ass and determined Guardian, should never have gone on date night. Ella, a dropout of the Guardian program, covered for her sister on the wrong night. They screwed up. Big time. And if they mess up their next mission, the blood of the entire human race is on their hands. When the people you trust most let you down, your whole world collapses. Sometimes literally.
