Chessa tried her hardest to follow in her mother's footsteps and become an assassin. Alas, it's hard to be an assassin when you're clumsy, allergic to exercise, prefer baking cakes to poisoning them, and would rather patch wounds than inflict them. She feels like a failure, unable to serve her country in the only way she's ever known--until she's offered a job she'd never considered: House Mother to a gang of assassins. The men aren't so sure about the little woman that's been assigned to them, but each is desperate in his own way for a home. For many of the men, this is their last chance, and they cling to it with cynical hope. Slowly but surely their distrust and desperation turns into something... more. After all, how could cold-blooded assassins not fall for a woman that doesn't fear them? How could they not fall under the spell of her delicious pastries? How could they not want to forever keep a woman that knows how to remove blood out of literally everything? --- This is a dream I just had. We'll see where it goes.
