A what if scenario where Subaru wakes up in Reinhard's manor instead of Roswaal's. How will this change the story of Re Zero?
Spoiler: The answer is a lot. It would be pointless writing about it if the answer was nothing at all.

[READ MORE BELOW] -- After being teleported to a world filled with magic and fantasy, YN (Your Name) meets a girl he had no clue could exist. Inexplicably infatuated for the blue haired maid, YN will do everything he can to keep her safe from danger, even if she herself is the danger. During his time in the Roswaal Mansion, YN will find out the true meaning of why it's called a "crush." -- This is the REDUX of my story "(Rem x Reader) Re:Reader - Starting YOUR New Life in Another World." This separate entry exists for the purpose of the story's re-write (to fix typos, correct spelling, make names more consistent, etc), but also to preserve the comments from the older entry, and for the purpose of chapter consolidation (Wattpad has a limit of 200, and the main entry is already at 146). All chapters in the older entry will be in this entry in the form of "Volumes" that contain multiple chapters in one larger "chapter" (these chapters will still exist in the volumes of this entry). These newer, longer chapters improve immersion, descriptions, and character dialog/motives, they DO NOT add any new events or lore. When I begin releasing newer chapters for the fic, they will still be posted on the old entry, and they will only be added once I reach those chapters in my effort to rewrite the older chapters. You will NOT be required to read these chapters to understand content past this. Over time, I plan on releasing more "volumes" for this entry as I slowly pluck away at the re-write. Think of this as a way to re-read the series, but with a "new game plus" aspect to it.

After conquering the Pleiades Watchtower, Subaru rests in the green room, physically and mentally exhausted. He is devoured by a shadow, which swallows him and causes him to lose consciousness. When he awakens, he finds himself in the same place where he was summoned to another world more than a year ago, but he is not alone. Status: everything fine, hiatus is fake I jus forgot to change this (End of Arc 6, Subaru and the Watchtower conquest group are teleported to Japan, more than a year after Subaru's summoning to the world of Re:Zero. How will the inhabitants of another world react to this very different and incredible world?)

What would happen if someone else took Subaru's place in the story? What would his path, his decisions, and his relationship with the characters be like? Would he have more power or intelligence than Subaru? Would he choose the same route, take an alternative path, or do exactly the same thing? Could he endure the HELL of being an RBD user without breaking his mind? At twenty-one years old, Leandro is summoned into the world of Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu. He knows the story because he watched the anime (and is in a Facebook group where novel spoilers are posted), but he doesn't know as much as he should. To add to his problems, his physical condition is poor-not terrible, but poor. He's chubby, and the little he knows about self-defense is what he learned from a boxing class he took as a teenager (he was the most one-handed in the group). He doesn't excel at anything, nor does he have any useful qualities, unless overthinking and speaking in synonyms no one uses fall into that category. Author's Note: This story is based on and inspired by the original novel by Tappei Nagatsuki, credits due to him. Author's Note x2: Priscilla best girl. In this story it takes place right after season 2 of re:zero After Subaru was hit by Otto knocking some sense into him. Then out of nowhere an unsuspecting ally help Subaru along the way to get him the perfect path he wants and things go just the way he wants them to. And Rem also seems to find someone else she can count on leaving everyone happy but there is still problems and darkness that surround them, but what will that be?Complete
