7 years ago, an infection spread throughout Earth's population. Many were turned into what can only be described as a zombie. The cause of this infection? Vampires. Vampires have been trying to take over the Earth for centuries. They faced many problems, the main one being their lack of numbers. Turning humans is a dangerous process for both the humans and vampires. The vampires hired scientists to create a synthetic venom to turn humans into vampires. Their first prototype was tested prematurely. It gave the human test subjects extreme speed and strength for 1 hour. They escaped and infected hundreds. The infection spread and mutated till the Earth was overrun by different kinds of hungry human - eating zombies. Vampires aren't the only supernatural creatures. Most of the others have gone into hiding, trying to wait it out. Werewolves, however, are the mortal enemies of vampires. They have formed a guard that protects humans day and night. Dogs are a man's best friend right?

It took barely over a month for the epidemic to spread across the globe. Contrary to belief, the world didn't end with a bang and neither did it go quietly. No. It ended one scream at a time. A little more than a year has passed since the outbreak swept over the planet and annihilated a good portion of the living. Perri was one of the lucky ones who managed to evacuate with the military escorted buses in those early days of the spread. But, that luck didn't last. After one too many tragedies, she had decided to finally leave the, so called, "safe zone". With her main objective being the search for her best friend, she finds more than she bargained for. Her blood is death. Her blood is virulent. Her blood is life. Salvation is hers to give.

The world as we knew it no longer exists. The sprawling hills, buildings that touch the sky, the sounds of life that moved through it all like a river. Now the world lies dormant. Silent. The life now replaced by death and destruction. Only a small percentage of the population exist. Mourning the loss of the dead. Except the dead didn't stay that way... All of a sudden, a portal opened and giant humanoid wolves came out, turning everyone into werewolves that cannot change back. The 16 year old girl escaped and hid.
