Beyond Perfection

A collection of poems written from my teenage years until now-pieces of me I could never say out loud. Every page holds a feeling I once carried: love, grief, anger, longing, loneliness, healing, and everything in between. Some poems are written in English, while others are in Tagalog-each language holding a different version of what I felt at the time. This is where I left the parts of myself I didn't know where else to put. This is not just a book of poems. This is where I buried, unraveled, and found pieces of my soul.

Compilation po ito ng mga Spoken Words Poetry ng katulad kila Ate Mai Mai Cantillano and Kuya Juan Miguel Severo and other spoken word artists. Nainspire lang akong gawin ito kasi last Sunday February 12, 2016 first time ko nakita sa personal si Ate Mai Mai Cantillano. Super tagos sa puso yung mga spoken words poety nya. And one more thing hindi ko po ito ginawa para mangopya ng mga gawa ng iba. Ginawa ko po ito kasi nakakainspire magbasa ng spoken words poetry.

This is not just a collection of poems. It's a place for the words I couldn't say out loud, the feelings I tried to hide, and the moments that stayed a little longer than they should have. For the things left unsaid, the thoughts kept to ourselves, and the emotions we never quite knew how to name. If you've ever felt too much, too deeply, or too quietly, maybe you'll find a little piece of yourself here. P.S: Some poems are either written in filipino or written in english.

hindi ito nobela. ito'y mga lukot na tula na ayaw ko nang itago. halo-halong mga tula mula sa aking kwaderno, mula tradisyonal hanggang malayang taludturan. hindi ito basta hugot, ito'y mga kwentong aking nararamdaman at mga hinaing na sawa na akong itago.
