Beatrix is a young girl living in a small village of elves deep in the forest. One day she meets a human girl named Harriet, running away from a nearby kingdom. Harriet moves into the village with Beatrix's family and as they grow older their friendship grows strong. One day, though, a deep black fog covers the forest, causing many elves to grow sick. It is then Beatrix and Harriets job to find the source of the fog and get rid of it before Beatrix succumbs to the sick as well.
