The witch bride and her familiar

After a ban of magic in neighbouring kingdoms spread far across the ocean to the small country of Veria, brutal witch hunts have plagued the land and witches local to it for over a century, only becoming more common as time passed on- the practice of magic becoming such a thing of taboo and stories... remaining witches live in secrecy and fear of the ruthless persecution of their people and one such humble witch is the young lone witch Erika Hartell from the remote village of Asul. Despite the fear of hunts, Erika continues her late grandmothers legacy of making magic based medicines for the people of the village, secretly disguised as a village medic. Yet her somewhat isolated and peaceful life is drawn to the halt as with the delivery of a ominous letter, Erika is whisked away to the royal palace by guards.

Yet instead of execution, Erika finds herself in a more perturbing situations... being the royal courts secret mage in the guise of a potential royal bride... the future bride of the young prince who had inherited the fearsome title as the witch slaughterer....
