How can one person be so selfish? How can one be surrounded by people yet be so lonely? How can somebody say they are fine but fall asleep from crying so much. How do we do it? “For a few minutes you made me feel as though I meant something to someone.” The sad thing is you only did it to make me fall deeper into the hole you dug for me. The hole I use to get away from you. 
I thought parents were supposed to help you. Show you right from wrong. Guide you. Boost you up not drag you under. He is the reason for my fears. Nightmares. Problems. A man who I used to call my father but now is just a stranger. I don't see prince charming on a white horse coming my way anytime soon. Besides who says I have to ride with him. I've got a horse of my own. This is MY story.

But, I wasn't always like this; at many stages I was extremely depressed. I know this seems like the stereotypical teenager's story but it was something much much more. Save Me
I was drowning. I knew that. I also knew that the hands around my throat, pushing me deeper into the river water was the cause. What I didn't know was who was drowning me and why. It hurt thinking. It hurt to do anything right now. But I still screamed under the cold water and pushed the hands away as hard as I could. It didn't have much effect. I fought and fought, but I was getting weaker, and colder. The pain was overbearing. I couldn't breathe. It was the worst pain imaginable; and as the hands that were around my neck were forcibly ripped off by some unknown force, I slipped deeper into the depths of the river. My hair was straight above me along with my arms. My eyes were open and the water burned. A darkness started to pull me under, taking the pain away. I'm just lying here in stillness and darkness wondering why. Why did this have to happen to my mom? We have nothing we can't even afford a house.
