Gerard has been having dreams. Not just dreams, bad dreams. Nightmares. He tries to figure out what's keeping him up. Then, a new kid comes to school, and everything starts to get a bit clearer for Gerard.
(Author's Note: I wrote the majority of this fic in my sketchbook during my fourth period art class in 2014)

Highschool is a living hell. At least that's Gerard's opinion because he can't pass the hallways without being shoved against lockers or called a "fag". God, how Gerard hated this word. In his last year of school, he decides to take a risk and starts a school project in which he wants to find out why all of his teachers and classmates hate homosexual people so much. For his project "homophobia is gay" he interviews a few people but decides that this won't be enough. What if he could introduce one of them to his world and show them that it's not bad to be gay? Gerard Way was addicted to smoking, he was 16, and he found himself thinking about his absent parents. He tried not too, but every morning he was forced to remember that he was abandoned at the age 4, as he woke up in the foster facility with his brother, Mikey. He was so busy making sure Mikey was happy, he forgot to make sure he was happy himself. He knew Mikey deserved a family and parents, but Gerard was seriously fucking selfish. He had nothing left, except the beautiful boy he once met, Frank. He had to save Frank from his broken heart, even though Frank considered Gerard to be the one who needed saving from his own addictions. Gerard's self-destruction was getting out of hand.Concluída
