Valentina Carvajal is a 26 years old artist and art teacher, whom she believes that her life would end as a fairy tale. Marrying the person she loves, starting a family with the love of her life and riding away into the sunset. But the only problem is, she's single. And her parents want her to get married because they weren't getting any younger.

Valentina has been lying to her parents that she does have a fiancé in order to avoid having to be married off to one of her parent's business partners.

Unfortunately, she has to return to her home for the summer, which happens to be her parents' anniversary. Desperate not to be found out of her deception and not to be forced to marry someone she does not love, Valentina finds herself making a deal with a certain brunette.
Will her 'happily ever after' come true?

With her almost 20 year marriage beyond repair, Demi Meadows is sick of playing games and being taken for granted. She needs something real, and someone who truly loves her instead of cheating on her for years. Her kids are almost out of the house, so it would be a perfect time to find a person to share her life with, and this time she isn't going to settle for anything less than the perfect person and the perfect love. But could that person be someone that she would never expect, like a one night stand that turns into a frequent visitor? Or is it too risky to go after someone who could rip her heart in two because of the different places they are in life and the similarities to her ex? What if perfect is an illusion? What if finding a perfect love is an illusion, because sometimes you can make your own perfect?
