"You seem to always refer to this as a fairytale," she said with a smug little grin, "so let's play by fairytale rules."
    "What do you mean?" I didn't know what she meant. For all I knew what she just said made her automatically win. 
    "I'll be fair to you," she replied, but her tone said differently.
     "Before the third sunrise."

    16, almost 17, year old Casey Williams is the perfect picture of broken. 19 year old Josh Miller, can't find anything that will help her. After her dark side left she just snapped. No more evil, but no more bravery either. Casey is stuck in a spot where she will do whatever she is told as long as Josh is happy. But what will she do when she runs into her dark side? How will she react when Josh is put under a spell that makes him hate her? Will she be strong enough to complete the quest and save Josh? Or will she loose the person she cares about most, and remain a broken, scared girl forever?
