Jaggery, Gud, Panela, Brown Sugar; it is called by different names in different regions. Sixty per cent of jaggery used in the world is produced in India. But that is only what the records say. Actually, more than seventy per cent of jaggery used worldwide is made in India. So why is this extra ten per cent not shown in the records? This is because they are illegally supplied abroad. They are smuggled.

Jaggery had been smuggled since the '70s. But this trade took the shape of an empire in the year 1998, when Soorya Nath Mohapatra took its leadership. Taking the leadership, he realised how his people relied on this smuggling. He was ready to become a crimelord for his people, for his father and for business!

The syndicate's growth's effect spreaded like fire in the entire subcontinent. To extinguish this fire, ACP Jai Sahu got posted back to his state - Odisha - the baseline of this smuggling syndicate.
