It is Harry Potter's Fifth year of Hogwarts.

Having evaded expulsion by the Wizengamot for his use of magic defending himself from the Dementor attack during the summer, he, Ron and Hermione leave the refuge of the Order of the Phoenix and Number 12 Grimmauld Place to return to school, where new teachers, friends, and enemies await.
Dolores Umbridge, Senior Undersecretary to the Minister, arrives bearing tidings of reform and unwelcome change to their beloved school, but Professor Dumbledore is more than prepared.
And a young man, hundreds of miles away at the bottom of a flint-mine, receives a letter from the headmaster, requesting that he join him in England, to offer his services and... unique... skillset, to the school.
This is the story of that young man. One of the last of his kind, an outcast to every sector of society both magical and not. Completely alone, and wielder of a wisdom beyond his years. This is the story of Rowan.
