[Discontinued, sorry.] Nicola Payne has been a homicide detective for years, finding bodies, finding killers, looking for her own answers to decade-long questions. The trail has led her to a city called Grimsborough, which is nothing like her previous placement. Payne enjoys a challenge, however, and soon her new friends will learn that. What they'll also learn is that Payne has many secrets, some more dangerous to know about than others. And what will Nicola Payne learn? How to act like a normal human being, even at work? How to protect those near to her? How to trust people with her deepest darkest secrets? Only time will tell, as she searches for the evidence that will lead to the truth. Even if she may hate it. Pretty Simple owns Criminal Case, the characters, and the cases. I own this story, the OCs, any fan-cases, and my headcanons.

Two teenagers dead. One girl on camera. One identical face left behind. "That's me," Eden said, pointing to the footage. "No, it's not," Elara whispered, "That's me." And just like that, the case broke in half. When 18-year-old Noah Rowe and his girlfriend Tess Marlowe are found murdered at an abandoned railway station, CCTV footage reveals one of the killers-a girl in a hoodie, her face caught for just a moment. The face belongs to either Eden or Elara Wren-identical twins with a dark, toxic past and a shared connection to the victims. But the case isn't so simple. Both sisters claim innocence. Both have alibis. And both were in love with Noah. As Detective Eliza Hart, a rising name in the London Homicide Unit, begins digging into the twins' lives, she finds a buried world of obsession, jealousy, betrayal, and a sisterhood that's not as unbreakable as it seems. The deeper Eliza goes, the more twisted the story becomes. Because the twins didn't just hate each other. They may have needed each other to kill. and just like that "We hate each other so much" turned into a confusion. [ 𝟷𝟻 𝚌𝚑𝚊𝚙𝚝𝚎𝚛𝚜 𝚍𝚊𝚢/𝚠𝚎𝚎𝚔 𝚠𝚒𝚜𝚎]
