Junior high sweetheart couple Maddie and Ben break up before senior year, because of ruthless mother, Megan. Maddie has a dark/depressed senior year and tries to commit suicide. After recovery, she gets her life together, and falls in love with the ideal man, Andrew. Andrew plans on purposing to Maddie on Valentine's Day but about a week before that Maddie ran into Ben, while he was trying to steal her taxi. They get together a few times during that week, Maddie finds out secrets her mother kept from her, and she falls back in love with Ben.
