Sara Diane is a normal girl with a normal life... that is until her younger brother comes back from jail. She doesn't know what to think about it, but when he says that he's changed for the better, she hopes he really means it this time because the last time she heard him say those words... she lost more than just her faith in him. Add all the secrets that she's hiding from him, what he's hiding from her, and powers she still hasn't figured out from when they were children, and she's in for one really big mess when men come hunting for her brother soon after his first visit. Is her life really about to be destroyed? Or is Sara going to do something about it and find her life has just taken a more exciting turn for the better?

"Are you an angel?" Virgo asked cautiously. The white headed girl looked back at Virgo and her brother. "Angels don't exist. The sooner you accept that, the easier it gets." "Then who are you?" Virgo asked, following her some more. The white headed girl had a twinge if sympathy in her eyes. "Names have power, kid. It's best you don't know mine." "Then what are you?" Virgo demanded, sick of this girls games. Her brother held onto her arm. "Most kids know us now as the monster under the bed. The demon willing to drag you to the pits of hell," the girl explained. "But there are no such things as demons and angels. Life isn't that black and white." ------------- There is a town where children are snatched from their beds in the night. There is a town where mothers fear their children are next to go. There is a town where windows and doors remained lock in fear of what may come through them in the dead of night, when nobody is a awake, when nobody will hear a scream. There is a place where monsters and saviors of fairy tales lurk. Where they live and thrive. Where there are lonely sirens, angry fae, and annoying pixies. Such place does exist, I promise, but only if you know where to look. Two children kidnapped in the dead of night. A rein of evil over the land. Twelve people who cannot stop arguing in the midst of it all. Folklore Forest is about to be overrun by a whole new crazy. An internal voice whispered, "Call him." But I chose not to. I dismissed it once more, saying, "He never liked me anyway." Yet the dilemma lingered. "But maybe he does. The way he looks at you... it's different." Out of nowhere, he glanced my way. My heartbeat quickened, sending shivers down my spine. I averted my gaze, pretending to look around. "Has he noticed me? No, wait-oh my god." --- After switching high schools, Nina discovered a new way of life. She fell in love, made wonderful friends, and everything seemed perfect. But Ethan-a popular boy who never focused on anyone but her-was the object of her hatred. He was always there, always keeping her safe. He used to annoy her endlessly. She hated him deeply. Until she didn't. For a while, she was content with her high school experience. That is, until something mysterious turned her world upside down. Forced to move to a new city, Nina had to cut ties with everyone she once knew. Eight years later, fate brings her face-to-face with him again. "Ethan..." He's the key to everything-the truths she never knew. When she was lost in the dark, he always held the light. But now, things are different. She despises him. He's colder than ever.
