The red string.

Often used to connect lover, soulmates "meant" for each other, but I'd like to think of it as a string that connects everyone who has a special relationship with one another.

Best friends.

Of course, some red strings might start tearing around the edges, just a small part holding the whole relationship together. When that happens, I suppose the best thing to do is to cut it.
