We'd grown up the best of friends, living right beside each other until we were 14. We'd spent everyday together, in school on in some field or a tree just playing. We were close as any two people could be. We didn't live in a rich town, there were only a few shops within the area and we had never left, but we got the papers, telling stories of grand parties of which the rich people would attend. They would wear large poofy dresses and gold jewlery and the men suits of all colours, depending on the theme of the ball. Him and I would talk about it, about how one day we would attend one of those parties in the most glamorous of clothing. We would have the time of our lives, and the next week we would go to another and another and so on forever. I wish we could've gone to one of those balls in the same mood. One day, a war broke out between two of the nearby kingdoms. They both vowed to destroy the other and all of its inhabitants. Our small town, and many others, were caught in the crossfire, being told to evacuate if we didn't want to die. Many of the people were told to go to the kindgom of Keeger. This is the work in progress version of my first book that I plan on publishing. This is only the first book in what I hope will become an expansive world. I must say that these books deal with some heavy subject matter so if you think you shouldn't read it then don't; you have been warned. For those who choose to stay I look forward to hearing back from you and I hope you will stick around to see how the world I have created develops. Without further ado, Death's Dance. Are you really still a princess if your kingdom is in ruins? If there is no one left to rule over but shadows? I was supposed to be their hope. I thought I changed my destiny; and yet, when my time came and they needed me most I failed them, I failed them all. Most of all I failed you brother. You who believed in me. You gave everything to prove that I was more than the curse flowing in me.
