"Just say my name." It said again, tone darkening as it's claws sank into the confines of her mind.

Terror bubbled beneath the entities hold. If she said it's name there was no going back, but if she didn't her life would be over within moments.

"Oh small thing, it's already too late." It cackled in her mind. "We struck our bargain that night on the forest floor."

Images flashed behind her still open eyes. Torn clothing, blood, the sound of wind battering the trees, and finally the inky shadow figure.

"Say. It." The monster in her head snarled. The vibration echoing throughout her entire being.

She locked bloodshot eyes with the hooded figure trying to snuff out her insignificant life. She remembered him now, remembered the things he would have done to her if given the chance. Remembered how he had plunged a knife into her with no remorse. A desperate madness had begun to swallow his features as he shoved and squeezed her now limp body. There was only one option left. Her dry cracked lips inched together before parting on a silent name, the same name she screamed mentally.

"Abdulbaith!"

****************************

Delilah's life had always been mundane. She lived the same routine day in and day out. That is until the letter arrived. It changed everything. Swapping one hell for another.

"CHARLIE!" His screams were getting closer until I saw him completely. I grabbed the knife and pointed it straight at him. "Get away from me!" I say warning him His face was red and he still stalked towards me slowly. "GET AWAY FROM ME!" I yell fearing the fact that didn't look scared at all. "Put the knife down." I started to back up a bit still pointing the knife at him. "I'm not telling you again, put it down NOW!" His calm persona was instantly replaced with a furious one. "Please Tho-" He came charging straight at me but I made a run for it. I ran as fast as I could with him behind me until he tackled me to the floor. The knife flew across the hallway and he was on top of me. "Thomas please let me go. I don't want to be here. Please." I say begging "You're ruining everything. It was so perfect and special just for you and you're ruining it." I can tell he was sad but more pissed off this anything. "WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME?! I LOVE YOU MORE THAN ANYTHING AND THIS IS HOW YOU REPAY ME!" He screamed in my face. "I-" "SHUT YOUR DAMN MOUTH!" He roars slapping me across the face. He roughly picks me up and drags me to the room. He yanked me away from him making me fall hit my knee on the hard wood floor. He walked in the bathroom to get something and I realized it something to put me to sleep. He poured the chemical into the towel as he mumbled to himself and I watched in fear. He pulled me from the ground and tried to make me breathe in. I fought the urge to. I thrashed back and forth trying to get free but nothing worked. Slowly, my vision got blurry and felt darkness overtake me.

Preview: Chapter 13 The darkness was suffocating, and Ella was disoriented as she stumbled around with her arms in front of her. She was desperately trying to get a hold of something, something that could guide her in the right direction. But there was nothing, no matter how hard she searched in the dark she would not run into anything except more darkness. Ella felt like she had been stumbling around for hours when she finally tripped over something on the floor. The ground came rushing towards her and suddenly the world around her emerged from the darkness. A well to familiar sent reached her nose as she managed to get back up to her feet. Her eyes darted around the abandon building as she remembered every detail of her nightmare. Ella could feel the blood on her hands before she saw it. It was dripping down along her bare arms and creating droplets of red on the cold stone ground underneath her bare feet. She grasped for air as the metallic scent hit her. What was going on? She could hear the rain hammering against the roof of the building pulling her even deeper into the dream. The screams came next. The heart wreaking sound echoing throughout the walls, vibrating into Ella's core. The screams of pain and sorrow so deep that you didn't know what you should do whit yourself. But an almost instinctive feeling flowed over Ella, and she desperately started to look around, trying to locate where the scream was coming from. It didn't take her long to notice her sister in a pool of blood on the cold stone ground. She was turning in pain desperately trying to keep the screams from coming out. Ella took a deep breath as she almost slipped in the pool of blood around her sister as she ran towards her. She fell down on her knees next to her with her red hands hovering over her sister's belly. They were shaking uncontrollably. "Stella please I beg you"

The only thing the murderer left behind was a delicate web of vines woven through the headless corpse. The number kept on increasing, while fear settled in the town. Detective Lorcan tries to find the serial killer responsible for their demise and all the headless bodies sprawled all over Kalis, as the forest grows in the eerie silence of their deaths and the smell of their blood. ************************************************************************************************** "I need to arrest you." was all Lorcan could manage, she aimed the revolver straight at the barber, breathing through clenched teeth, willing her lips to stop trembling. Claeg shook his head and a smile touched his face, eyes shining in the dark like emeralds. "You cannot" the grim expression on his face easing into a bitter smile. He slowly moved towards the grave, the machete gleaming in his hand, a faint stain of red smeared over it. "Don't move or I will have to shoot you" Lorcan warned, her voice firmer than before, but it seemed to fall on deaf ears, as Claeg still moved at the edge of the grave and then paused. "You cannot kill me. When people like us die, Et'hiwas spirit is passed over to another worthy person, who is then bound with the forest, a guardian gifted with incredible potential." Claeg repeated the words under his breath and then loudly, they sounded more like a parable, passed down for centuries, living only in the heart of some people. Lorcan lost her grip around the revolver before tightening her hand again as Claeg stared down at the machete in his hand. Contemplation lingering on his face. "Will you do me a favor, Detective Lorcan?" Claeg asked calmly, his eyes moved to Lorcan's hands before gazing back to her face, "Will you bury my head?" he looked at her, flickers of hope dancing in his eyes.
