Sharna Hale has grown up with loss. Her family, Alison, Erica, Boyd and Aiden are some of the people in her life that she cared about, and had died because of the supernatural world she was brought into. Not wanting to loose anyone else, Sharna makes a pact saying she will not get too close to people because of the inevitability of them dying or leaving her. But that promise to herself starts to become difficult to full fill, when she meets Scott McCalls new betta and handsome hunk of meat, Liam Dunbar. Just when she thinks she could still finally have a normal year (as normal as a werewolf can have) without having any close-to-death experiences, they discover a dead pool of supernatural beings in Beacon Hills. With Sharna going through the process of trusting people, she starts to get closer than she would like to Liam, will she finally learn to let people in? Will she let Liam break down her walls of insecurity? Or will she continue to think that people are just temporary?
