Crownton is a diverse city with people from different backgrounds and different ways of life finding themselves meeting one another. Nusaki Dillards, a 16 year old introverted black teen has grown up in the city his whole life. He's learned certain things from hanging out with kids on his block, knows the best place to get food in his community, helped in many protests, and has learned how to defend himself when needed. One day though, Nasake's Dad got a promotion to work as the supervisor in his department making the Dilliards family having to go from central Crownton to Southern Crownton letting Nasake experience a different size to Crownton he never knew.
