But after a girl is attacked on the first day of the semester, and his life is almost taken from him, he realizes that his task might be more tedious than he initially thought.

When he understands that he won't make it another day alone, Clementine finds allies in the students who are just as alone as him. He teams up with Mathew, a quiet berserker, Mavis, a timid fae, and Elliot, his mysterious roommate. But will their help be enough in a school full of blood-hungry competitors?
      
And he soon witnesses first-hand that the students aren't the only ones stalking the corridors at night in search of lonesome victims.
