Though this takes place in the same world as the previous book, this takes place in a setting away from the Myst Pack. This next pack is called, the Mallory Pack. A very traditional pack where the roles are clear and change isn't necessary. It is here where the most important thing is to find your mate, no matter their position.
Dreaming of finding love, Nathanial Dillon is a beta so sweet, gentle, patient, and slightly naive. Needless to say, he goes to great lengths for his pack to be as happy as possible, not as a prosperous lawyer, doctor, or something seen as great, but as the Private Secretary for the Alpha.
Nathanials best friend, his long time crush, and trusted companion follows him to the ends of the earth, content with being called Nathanials friend, sidekick, boyfriend, or pet even. If it is to make Nathanial happy, he'd take it over his real name, Edwardo Deacon. He loves Nathanial, but does it amount to the kind of love that Nathanial needs? Is he really needed?
Does it all matter when we already meet Nathanials mate? Valerius Valentine, determined, strong, and hard-working. He is perfect seemingly and Nathanial vowed to love him with all his heart before he even knew of the mans existence and Nathanial gives Valerius his all. But does this man really deserve Nathanials devotion when they hit a snag? Is it possible for fate be wrong? Either way, Nathanial knows one thing. He needs to run before he it's too late.
