A Legend of Zelda fan fiction. Link Arkwood is Hyrule's greatest thief, but a simple mistake landed him in the castle dungeons. Hyrule's princess, Princess Zelda, offers him a deal in order to get out of his execution, but is he willing to risk his life for a kingdom he doesn't care about? And what will happen once he's agreed to the deal? (This is a very old story of mine, so pardon me if it isn't any good. This is one of the very first stories I wrote.) Zelda Hyrule's life has always been one that is not her own. Zelda has always been the spitting image of what her Father wants her to be. She has never broken a rule. Link, the silent superstar of the school, who, in her hour of need, comes to her side with no hesitation. She is undoubtedly drawn to him, yet she needs to stay away. As she progresses day by day, she meets a couple of new friends, and even a few enemies. Will Zelda clear her name? Or will she stay in this public dump for a couple of friends and a silent knight? The two become inseparable, but everything changes when Zelda hits puberty; she vanishes and doesn't show up at school. Link tries to contact and find her, but no luck. One day, Link saves a woman from the Yiga clan members, and that woman turns out to be Zelda. She tells him about where she has been for the past five years, and once Link finds out the truth, he dedicates his days to helping Zelda feel safe and happy again away from her selfish, rich father Rhoam and her forced fiance, Ganondorf. While Link and Zelda try to save themselves from the abuse, an evil prince from another country declares war on Hyrule in hopes of annexing the kingdom, and Link must go to war, leaving Zelda. A lot of work needs to be done to rebuild Hyrule, and to convince others to help will take a lot of work from Link and Zelda. Having all his memories back, Link is plagued with thoughts and memories of the Champions, wishing he could go back in time and save them. He can't focus on the past too much though, because an incredible threat has woken up, and will certainly destroy Hyrule if nothing is done soon.
