Anxious as he is to have his father's position, Ian loves his father too much to pester the rather kind man for the job. 

When an attempted assassination of the Italian heir fails due to the quick and rather ugly display of merciless defense of Daciana Alekhin, she's sent on a mission ordered by her father to play Ian's bodyguard to gain his trust and kill the heir to the most powerful Mafia. 

If they don't kill each other first they may very well succeed in finding the people who want Ian dead, but when hate turns into something more, things only become more complicated. Fighting against attacks from all angles, Ian and Daciana have to find a way out, but the way out has a cost neither of them wants to pay.
