We all go through dramatic things in our past that we can't do anything about, and it molds us as a person. But what if your past created a new person out of you? Antony Dawson is stuck in his head due to his past. It drives him crazy, shaking profusely down to bone. Can he help himself and his head without the need of nurses injecting needles in his bicep every time he lost it?
This is a sci-fi short story I wrote for my English class, and I thought it would be good to post to see how people liked it. Sorry it's not extremely long like most people would like, but it had to be a limited amount of words. Enjoy!

This is the first creative thing I have ever done in my life. Keep your expectations low. This started as 5 bullet points and turned into this. This is a slow burn and I mean slow. It's mainly angst, a lot of it. I have attempted to keep descriptions of the reader as minimal as possible. I won't use Y/N and will use a nickname. There will be updates, but it will be slow. This will begin relatively sweet and then it will go dark, very dark. Read the warnings, they will be updated. I'm a sucker for a toxic relationship. As this is Marvel there are a few unrealistic parts, I hope that is ok. This is mainly plot driven. The story of falling in love with the villain. A static noise echoes in my ear, then an indistinct silence announces itself. "...Holt! Can you hear me? Answer me! Mr. Holt!" I want to say something, but all that escapes my lips is a groan. I feel like throwing up right here and now. "Mr. Holt, answer me!" "What..." I gasp and blink. "There he is, sir. He's answering," it crackles in my ear and I raise my hand to my temple with a groan. ------------------------------------------ America in the year 2095: A convicted murderer is offered freedom. In return, however, he must carry out a reconnaissance mission that turns out to be a true horror. He is catapulted through a portal into another world and discovers firstly that he has undergone a devastating change and secondly that America in this other world is more like a dictatorship. With a ruler who thinks rather inferiorly of his and other cases and abuses them as test objects. ------------------------------------------- Trigger warning: chapters may contain intense violence, blood and profanity (...) ------------------------------------------ The book contains two parts. Content Warning-This story is meant for mature audiences. It features adult language, references, situations, sexual content, graphic violence, and gore. Fantasy, horror, and science fiction are my favorite genres to read. They are also my favorite to write. I've enjoyed writing since I won my first writing contest in the fourth grade. That was over twenty-five years ago and I haven't shared a sinlge word of it. Imposter syndrome is a bitch! Well, I finally managed to pull the trigger. Here is "O Negative". It's a mix of all of my favorite genres. I've mixed a fantasy, based on present-day Earth, with plenty of graphic horror and wrapped it all up within a world driven by the technological advancements that only can be obtained from millions of years of civilation. A small group of strangers find themselves surviving in a decimated world. It's bad enough to be stranded in a no-name town, but things become surreal when you realize the vast majority of humanity has died...it becomes terrifying when you realize you aren't that lucky to be alive. "Survivor's Guilt" isn't a thing when you find yourself the sole food source for an entire group of beings that no longer need to hide in the shadows. Man is no longer at the top of the food chain...they are now the cattle.

"WHY CAN'T YOU GET IT INSIDE YOUR HEAD?" He trapped my trembling body between his arms and slammed his fist into the wall. I flinch at the sound as I feel tears forming in my eyes. "I'M SICK AND TIRED OF YOUR CRYING. JUST ACCEPT THE FACT THAT YOU'RE NEVER LEAVING. THIS IS YOUR LIFE NOW, WITH ME" He spits, anger consuming his voice as I push myself further against the wall. Shutting my eyes closed and turning my face to the side as I do. Moments later, I feel his rough hand on my waist and his finger grazing my cheek. "Look at me, love." His hand grips onto my jaw, his thumb playing across my lower lip. He turns my face to meet his as I lower my gaze to the floor. He lowers himself to my level and I feel his breath fanning my cheek causing my breathing to become unsteady. "I love you so much, darling. But you need to learn. You need to learn that you won't be going anywhere. You're mine." With that being said, his other hand slides down to my waist "Your entire body, your mind, your soul. All mine."
