Remi is just trying to survive, and maybe cause a bit of chaos in the process. When her mentor, Stormchaser Hurricane is killed, she must take up the title to try and defend everything her mentor fought for, even if it is against the government and totally illegal.

Katherin and Theo are just doing their best. As a DID system, they are trying to hide it from their father along with the fact that they are one of the vigilantes he is trying to capture, while at the same time barely coping with their trauma along with trying to manage new powers. 

Void is scared. Commander Connors is doing his best to protect Void, but it's not enough. When Void meets Katherin and Theo one night and catches them sneaking out, he follows and what he finds is enough for him to try to break away from the scientists that are holding him captive.
