You wake up in the car after a long drive by a loud, continuous rumbling noise. Where is that even coming from? Supposedly, your family had to evacuate here, but the conditions didn't look too good, considering all the debris on the ground. The car stops, then you get out. A sharp, but brief pain shoots through your neck, then you black out, waking up in an alley. A strange girl meets you there, seemingly unaffected by the noise. Familiar faces are everywhere. Is she your guide to survival in such a city? What even happened?

The corner of his mouth tilts upward slightly. I smile again. A smile!? A tiny one, but still. "Hm. So I got you to smile, that's progress, yeah? Can I get your name now?" I look at all the men in the group who had their jaws dropped, all except for one, "Touch me one more time, and I'll brake your arm in two." I stand and kick his back so he falls on the concert. "Breath." He orders. I start to breathe again and just blink at him. "Now go." He orders me again. I flinch involuntarily at his tone and jump back slightly. "Please don't let me walk home alone." I beg in a quiet voice, looking down at my feet. The next thing I see are his black combat boots right in front of my shoes. I look up into his eyes and he looks down into mine confusion written all over his face. "How come you aren't running yet?" He questions searching my eyes. I stepped into the middle of the streets and I suddenly heard a loud honking noise. I turned my head and noticed a semi, just meters away from me. I was shocked and didn't know what to do, so I just stood there. The semi's breaks screeched against the street and I tightly shut my eyes, hoping this nightmare will end. I stayed in the street for at least 3 minutes and was surprised nothing hit me. My eyes fluttered open when I heard a faint voice calling my name "Mia~ Mia~ open your eyes".
