What would happen if MC went to the mine instead of Jake just like the Man Without a Face wanted? This short story takes place at the end of episode 10 of Duskwood.

Author's note: There are three alternate endings for this story, so you can read them all and decide which one you like most.
This story was written in the second person instead of in the third person so (1) it is more immersive this way and (2) it is gender-neutral this way. Instead of a name I just used MC so you can either fill in your MC's name from Duskwood or your own name if that's your heart's desire.
