An experimentation with the Hamato boys living a normal life as human boys at high school, playing with how their world might look, how the brother might be living in it, and how Raph doesn't change a bit. A little bit of 2012 and 2018 mixed into my thinking for the setting and 2012 and 2003 for the characters. Let me know what you think! 

Donatello-centric, with honorable mentions of Leo, Mikey, and Splinter.

Deku got tired of hiding all of his emotions under a mask. Tired of keeping a smile on his face despite being constantly beaten up and ridiculed. He'd kept his mask up for so long that it was fragile as glass. The day it broke was a tragic one for his old "friend" and mother, but became a beautiful opportunity for him. The villains saved him. [Uncompleted] Being captured by the villains, there was no escape. He defied them from their plans, hoping he'd spare everyone some time to save him, but that only led to an even bigger consequence; one that changed his life completely. They were too late. The pro-heroes, and even his friends tried their best to save him, but it was no use. Just as they thought they had him, he was gone the very next second. They let him leave their grasp and failed to save him. Bakugo had turned into a Nomu for crucial experiments that one would never dare to witness for themselves. But that, they didn't know of. They had only assumed the league killed him since they never saw him again. Thinking that there was no hope - only despair in the air they breathed - what they didn't know was that he continued fighting, fighting for his life and dignity because he had the determination that he wasn't going to go down that easy. He was not going to let the Nomu part of him take over his pride. He was going to escape, and that was for a fact, because he was Katsuki Bakugo. He repeated those words over and over again in his head so that he wouldn't forget. But what happens when he DOES forget his identity? What happens when the villains' plan backfired on them? Will a simple red rose help Bakugo remember his hopeful past?
