Becoming a main character

Markus Vole in relevance to the plot is unremarkable. He isn't a wild witch, he isn't related to Luz or her friends and he isn't apart of the Emperors Coven.

Knowing all that you would think that has no purpose other than being a character you spot in the background but who would guess that the cameo character would become a powerful threat or ally.
