Seventeen-year-old Lily's parents have filed for divorce and this will be her first summer without her dad. The beach house belongs to Bec - her Mothers best friend. Lily, her parents, Bec and her two sons Emil and Elliott have spent every summer there, for as long as she can remember. It's their happy place and Lily and her mother Chris need it more than ever. Emil is her oldest friend and this summer their dynamic changes as romantic feelings starts to surface between them. At a party at their friend Max's house, the feelings between them explodes and there's a loud argument between them. Bec and Chris begin to whisper behind closed doors and disappears on mysterious appointments and shopping trips.
When Bec and Chris resurfaces after one of their secret trips the house reaches its breaking point as the children finds out the reason behind their strange behaviour.
