"You were never supposed to see them! I should've burned those letters when I had the chance!" Macaque screamed, his eyes were clear with rage and he snarled deeply at his formal enemy and ex lover, Sun Wukong. Wukong's nose scrunched up and he inhaled deeply as he glared at Macaque.
"I'm glad you didn't."

One late night, MK accidentally stumbles into Macaque's lair. What he found was one of the last things he would've expected. Letters. Letters from the past. Most were from Macaque to Sun Wukong, but they were never sent. Only a few were from the Monkey King. But before MK could get a better look, Macaque just so happened to show up. With the little time given, MK managed to grab only one, leaving him with many questions.

Wukong is walking with MK, he promised his successor to go to the Market with him. They're looking for fireworks for the new year. But while they walk around Wukong sees a familiar Shadow in the crowd. Was this... Macaque? But he was dead. He was sure of it. Was it a reincarnation? and if so... Would it be wrong to see what he's up to in his new life? or Wukong is not going on vacation and he's the one to watch "Shadow Play". He travels to a universe where his successor lies in. Anyways, back to Y/n, Y/n was just a normal 15 year old high school girl. She always stayed in another's shadow, wishing for something to lift her out and let her show her full potential. Now that she picked up Macaques staff, Macaque is forced to take y/n under his wing to train her and make her become his successor. (HELLO! a lot of you know me from my CampCamp fanfic "Inmates" but guess what! Now I'm in a looot of different fandoms and I'm trying something New. Now of course this contains mature themes (y'all know me :3) buuut it'll also have some fluff ☺️ , angst, and just scenes I would imagine Wukong and Macaque would have.) (This is majority a Shadowpeach story, but other ones will be included) After the Lady Bone Demon was defeated there wasn't much to do for a while, so everyone was just chilling and being calm. Two Monkies, how ever, are trying to sort out their issues from the past. Every time they talk about it it gets heated, but maybe that's a good thing...

During a battle, Macaque gets injured, the group does not yet trust Macaque and is still skeptical so they leave the monkey king to watch over him, not only to make sure he is well healed but also so he doesn't run off or do anything destructive. The healing process is slow and painful, it hurts to even use his power. He finds himself unable to even move from his bed some morning.
