After tragedy strikes her home, Galahdian refugee Aaralyn Kailiani is forced to pick up her life and move it to a city that does not want her. But her destiny falls short when she marries the one man she hates more than anything, leading her to live an eternal life of darkness when it comes time for her brother to ascend the throne.
