To the Capitol
My friends and I role play a lot in this website called chatzy.com. We have this whole world mapped out based on the Hunger Games. We live in two mansions. One is the main mansion, where we all used to live until it got really crowded, and then there is the second mansion, which is by a waterfall, just a ten minute walk away. There's also a tree house, but only Gracie and Andrea live there. Most of us have super powers. I mean, if the Capitol can make mutts, surely we can give ourselves super powers. Gracie has black wings, Talia has super speed, Chris has super strength, Derrick and Cameron can make themselves invisible. Brendan can't get hurt or feel pain. We all have issues here. Sierra doesn't talk. Andrea has scars on her face. Chris is a germaphobe. Gracie was once anorexic. Cameron was once an assassin. We all have reasons for running away from the districts and the Capitol, but we've all found sanctuary here. We've defended our home for so long. Now it is time to start fighting back.Complete

My Hunger Games.My name is Aria Moulson and I won the 69th Hunger Games 6 years ago. I was the first Mockingjay. Trust me I never wanted to be. I never wanted to start a rebellion I just wanted to get in and out. But, the people of Panem had a different idea. They saw me as the light in the darkness. They saw me as their way out of President Snow's wrath. They saw me as their Mockingjay. Why they saw me as the Mockingjay? It was because I was the first tribute to ever speak out about the Capitol's tyranny. A moment of weakness in the games and it cost me a lifetime of pain and suffering. The 136th Hunger Games
When Kira Blackwood's name is reaped, she knows she's screwed. How is she supposed to survive in a fight to death with twenty-three other tributes, all of whom want to get out alive as much as she does? Not to mention, the thought of killing somebody twists her stomach into all sorts of unnatural shapes. Despite secretly training for the Games in the cow pastures surrounding her home, and being pretty handy with a knife, Kira's kind heart may be the thing that holds her back the most. However, as she navigates through the opulent world of the Capitol, and then the arena itself, Kira starts to realize that maybe, just maybe, it's not the dead she should pity, but the Victor. After all, no one ever really wins the Hunger Games. Survives, sure. But wins? Never. ~~+~~ Please Note: This is set in a world where the 2nd Rebellion failed. All usurpers were executed (except those pesky star-crossed lovers, who knows where they ran off to), District 13 was destroyed for good (but District 12 was rebuilt, on the basis that the Capitol realized that it actually really needed coal), and the Hunger Games were reinstated. Disclaimer: I don't own any of the rights to the Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, or to the Lionsgate adaptation of her books. (Obviously.)
