𝐓𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐞 𝐉. 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐡 wasn't actually born in Tennessee. He grew up forty miles south of the border, in a Mississippi river-town. He lived with his mother in a one-bedroom house that flooded every time the river swelled.
I lived two doors down, kind of like I do now.

𝐕𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐭 begins her junior year at University the same way she did the year before, rooming with her best friend, Frankie and dating the star baseball player. But this year, there are new students living down the hall; one of which, Violet recognizes as her childhood friend, Tenny.
His presence reminds her of a life she tried to forget. Through trials and triumphs, Violet recalls her past: the good and the bad, and she realizes some things were never meant to stay buried.
