[COMPLETED] "Shoot," Joey mumbles, letting out a string of profanities under his breath. We turn around to find a group of men, all with guns, standing where we just came from, and they look pissed... probably because they were forced to run through this tunnel after us. "Thought you could get away, didn't you?" The man who I saw before asks. His husky voice booms in the hollow tunnel, reverberating off of the dirt walls. His voice sounds familiar, and a realization strikes me. It sounds like the man from my dream. I remember him holding a gun and wearing a blue suit, smiling evilly at me. "Leave us alone," Joey says, sounding dangerous and snapping me out of my thoughts. The levity of the situation hits-we need to get out of here. I look around for a route of escape and thankfully I see a light, literally, at the end of the second tunnel. I let out a small, almost inaudible, gasp and nudge Joey. He looks at me and I subtly gesture with my head to the second tunnel. He glances at it and immediately we are on the same page. His jaw sets and he looks at the group. The man speaks up again, chuckling darkly-a sound I will never forget and will be permanently etched into my brain, "You can thank your father for starting this mess." -------------------------- Liza was a normal teenaged girl, living the average life that an eighteen year old girl should be living. She had good friends, good grades, a happy family, a loving boyfriend, and an overall content life, seemingly having everything a person could ask for. Season 1 complete! Book 2 (Rhapsody) complete! It was a new start for her, at least that was what her dad had told her when they moved from LA. A new start, with a new odd group of friends and her past mistakes still haunting her every move. Mistakes which suddenly seemed a lot harder to escape in such a small town; where the wrong person could be just around the corner, or the right one running full speed in the opposite direction. Turns out, it wasn't a new town which gave Lexi a chance at a fresh start, but rather colliding with Pope Hayward two weeks before the hurricane. The only question remains as to whether or not she can handle the life she's been offered, especially when a certain blond comes into the picture, threatening to cut the final string which holds her together. ---------------------- Smut warning LOL. Hi! I got this idea really randomly and just decided to write this book. It's a little different from the actual show, and there are definitely certain themes which make the story line a bit more graphic so viewer discretion is advised; definitely a spicer version of the Netflix show if you get what I mean. Just want to preface it by saying that there will be some triggers, and I'm not sure if I'll be able to catch them all because I've only lightly edited this (so if there are some minor plot holes just ignore them LOL), but the main ones will be sexual assault, suicide, physical/verbal abuse, and mental illness.
