When Luigi goes missing during Mario and Princess Peaches wedding and no one else seems to care, Empress Daisy, of Sarasaland is the only one to venture out and save him. Things take an odd turn when the both of them learn of King Boo's true motive. And when Daisy slowly realises her admiration for Luigi, all he knows to do is to panic - in a good way!

Luigi will have to gather up the courage to travel through 5 different haunted mansions this time around in search of the missing Dark Moon pieces, fighting swarms of Boos and ghosts and solving puzzles along his journey. But perhaps there are even darker secrets hiding within the shadows.
