Friend

I am doing a writing challenge during the month of June to write something based on a prompt every day. There are some days with no prompts; here is day 4.

The prompt: write a poem about the monster under the bed.

I'm not huge on writing poetry. This is a coupled rhyme poem from the perspective of the kid and how he befriended his monster instead of being scared of it.
